Catherine Wilson
Catherine has more than 15 years experience in consulting,
the waste management sector and logistics. She has a track
record of building market leading companies within complex
and challenging sectors. Key expertise includes developing
and executing business strategy, managing complex organizational
change including large-scale business transformation and restructuring
programs, designing and implementing corporate social responsibility
(CSR) policy, training of senior managers on WEEE (waste electrical & electronic
equipment) treatment practises and other EU waste legislation.
Catherine was engaged as consultant on an 18 month contract to one of
the UK's largest packaging and WEEE compliance schemes to set up the
complex operational proccesses in line with EU regulations and established
a cost competitive solution to help businesses discharge their WEEE obligations.
The role included training to bridge the knowledge gap, performed extensive
market research, developed operational framework and processes and designed
cost analysis models to ensure profitability and enhanced the corporate
social responsibility policy as well as audit and procedural guidelines
for selecting suppliers. She also provided market research in the Far
East to identify new outlets of packaging materials and benchmarked and
audited the outlets against the companys CSR policy.
Prior to her consultancy Catherine co-founded Technowaste Ltd in November
2001. The company provided environmental solutions for fridge and other
electrical goods recycling. She was responsible for market research,
business planning, corporate strategy and all business development.
Catherine set up her current business as a specialist business consultancy
providing services to the environmental sector, specialist WEEE advice
and services to compliance schemes and manufacturers and offers development
of internal CSR policy, standards, training and auditing systems to manufacturers
and retailers.
